The cart

Review what you are buying, change quantities and packs, and turn the cart into an order.

Your cart holds everything you have added from the Catalog, product pages and punchout. One cart can hold products from many suppliers and many locations. Wren sorts them for you, so each supplier gets its own purchase order when you order.

The cart, grouped by location and supplier

Open your cart

The cart button at the top right of every page counts the units in your Default Cart. Press it to open the cart.

If your cart is empty, Wren says Your shopping cart is empty. Press Go to Shop to start adding items.

How the cart is grouped

Two buttons above the items change how they are arranged:

  • By Suppliers shows a block for each supplier, with its items under it.
  • By Locations shows a block for each of your locations.

The Summary on the right follows the same grouping, with one row for each group.

Each line shows the product and its picture, the unit it is bought in, the quantity, the price of one unit and the total for the line. A GPO tag means a group purchasing contract covers its price. Press the picture or the name of a line to open the product's page.

Take an item out

Press the bin icon on a line to take that item out of the cart. Wren confirms it, and the line totals and the Summary update straight away.

To order a different unit or quantity, take the line out and add the product again from the Catalog or its product page with the unit and quantity you want. In a saved cart, Edit Cart lets you change the unit and quantity of each line in place. See Saved carts and Auto-Ship.

Read the Summary

The Summary adds up the cart. Each group opens to show Items in order and its Subtotal, and the Total is at the bottom. Check it before you order.

Order the cart

  1. Check the items, units and quantities.
  2. Press Order Now in the Summary.

Wren creates the order and opens it. The order starts as a Draft: nothing has been sent to any supplier yet. From there you review it, send it for approval if your account uses approvals, and submit it. See Review and send an order.

Every supplier in the cart receives its own purchase order for its items, and you follow them all from the one order under Orders.

Save the cart for next time

If you buy the same things again and again, press the small save button beside Order Now. In Create Shopping Cart, type the Name of the cart and press Save. Wren keeps a copy as a saved cart, and your Default Cart stays as it is. See Saved carts and Auto-Ship.
