Welcome to Wren

What Wren does for your practice, how this documentation is organised, and the order to set things up in.

Wren is one place to buy everything your practice needs. You shop every supplier's catalog at the prices your practice is charged, fill one cart, and Wren turns it into a purchase order for each supplier. From there you approve orders, follow shipments, receive what arrives, check each invoice against the order and keep track of what is on the shelf.

What you can do in Wren

  • Shop the catalogs of all your connected suppliers side by side, with prices and stock.
  • Order from one cart. Wren splits it by supplier and location for you.
  • Approve orders before they go out, with as many sign-offs as your practice needs.
  • Receive deliveries line by line, so a short delivery is easy to spot.
  • Match invoices against what you ordered and what arrived, then mark them paid.
  • Track inventory by location, with lots and expiry dates.

How this documentation is organised

The documentation follows the order a practice sets Wren up and then uses it:

  • Getting started: create your account, set up your practice and place a first order.
  • Shopping: the catalog, product pages, the cart and saved carts.
  • Suppliers & catalogs: connect your supplier accounts and choose what your team can buy.
  • Orders & approvals: review, approve and send orders.
  • Shipments & receiving: follow every box and receive what arrived.
  • Invoices: check invoices, credit memos and payments.
  • Inventory: stock by location and what you use day to day.
  • Team & account: users and permissions, locations, billing and notifications.
  • FAQ: quick answers to common questions.

Set up in this order

Most practices are ready to order in one sitting. Work through these steps in order:

  1. Create your account with your email or Google.
  2. Set up your practice in the setup wizard and choose your plan.
  3. Add your locations: every site you ship to, and where invoices go.
  4. Connect your suppliers so their catalogs and prices show in Wren.
  5. Invite your team and decide what each person can do.
  6. Set up approvals if orders need a sign-off.
  7. Place your first order from the catalog to the invoice.

Try it first in the demo

Want to see Wren before you set anything up? The interactive demo runs on a practice account with made-up data. A guided tour takes one order all the way through: approved, sent, delivered, billed, paid and on the shelf. Courses teach each part of Wren in more detail. Nothing you do in the demo touches a real account, so click anything you like.
