Item details

Everything about one product you stock: where it is kept, its lots, its history, its orders and how fast you use it.

Every item in your inventory has a page of its own. It answers the questions you have before you reorder: how many do we hold, where, which lots expire first, who used them and where they came from. Open it by clicking the item's row on Inventory.

The item at a glance

The top of the page names the product and repeats its description, with the suppliers that sell it to you listed underneath. Everything on the page is about this one product, across all your locations.

Click the picture to see it larger. A product with several pictures has a column of small ones beside it: point at one to switch to it. Under the picture are the product's facts, such as its brand, its IDs and the details the supplier gave. The copy icon beside an ID copies it, ready to paste into a search or an email.

Where it is kept

One row for each location that holds the item:

  • Location Name: rest the pointer on it to see the street address and a larger map.
  • Soonest Exp. Date and Latest Exp. Date: the earliest and latest expiry among the lots there.
  • Stock: the total held at that location.

Click a column title to sort the rows.

Correct a count or a lot

When the shelf and Wren disagree, put Wren right:

  1. Press Edit at the end of the location's row. A window opens with a card for each lot kept there.
  2. Change the Lot Number/Exp, the Expiration Date or the Quantity. Use the location menu at the top to switch to another location.
  3. Press Save. Nothing is kept until you do, and Cancel leaves everything as it was.

The page updates at once. A lot with nothing left is outlined in red. A change of quantity is written to the Transaction Log with your name.

Reorder from a supplier

Reorder, at the top of the page, lists the suppliers that sell this product. Choose one and you land on the product's page in the shop, where you pick a pack size and add it to a cart. It saves searching the catalog for something you already stock. See Product pages.

The four tabs

Quantity

Every lot of the item, one row each: its Lot Number, the Locations it is at, its Quantity and its Expiration date, with Restocked and Last Consumed dates. Click a column title to sort.

Transaction Log

A record of every time stock of this item was added, taken out or corrected, newest first. Each entry says who made the change and when, then the Location, the Action (such as Scan Out or Add), the Lot Number, the Original count, the Change (green with a plus for stock added, red with a minus for stock taken out) and the New Total.

Order History

Every order this product was bought on, newest first. Each card says who created the order and when, then its Order Number, Supplier, Shipment Status, UOM (the pack it was ordered in), Amount (how many single units that pack holds) and Price. Shipment Status tells you whether that stock has reached you yet.

Analytics

Two charts about how fast the item is used:

  • Total Usage: one bar for each day, as tall as the units used that day, with today's bar at the right end.
  • Average Daily Consumption: one bar for each weekday, Mon to Sun, showing the average used on that day, so you can see which days are busy.

Each chart has its own period box: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 120 days. A short period shows what just happened, and a long one shows the pattern across weeks. An item with nothing used in the period shows Not Enough Data Yet... over a faded chart: pick a longer period.
