Punchout
Shop on a supplier's own website from inside Wren, and bring what you pick back to your Wren cart.
Some suppliers let you punch out: you open their own website from Wren, shop there under your practice's account, and the items you choose come back to your Wren cart. It is useful for products that are not in the supplier's catalog in Wren yet, and for checking the supplier's latest price.
Which suppliers offer punchout
Open Suppliers under Shop. A connected supplier that offers punchout shows a Punchout button beside Catalog on its card. Suppliers with punchout also carry the green verified badge on their logo.
If a supplier's card has only Catalog, it does not offer punchout. You shop it in the Catalog as usual.
Punch out to a supplier
- Open Suppliers under Shop.
- On the supplier's card, press Punchout.
- In Select Your Account, pick the location and account you are shopping for.
- Wren opens the supplier's website for that account. Shop there as you normally would.
- When you are done, finish on the supplier's site as it asks. The items you picked come back to your Wren cart.
- Open your cart to review them with the rest of your items, then press Order Now when you are ready. See The cart.
After the items are in your cart
Items from a punchout behave like anything else in your cart. They are grouped by supplier and location, they appear in the Summary, and when you order, the supplier receives its purchase order with them on it. You follow the order under Orders like any other.
Punchout and prices in the catalog
For a punchout supplier, the price information in the Catalog points you to the punchout when it helps:
- A product with no price yet says No price yet, with a hint to open the punchout to get pricing.
- Rest the pointer on the small icon beside a price to see when it was last updated, with a hint to open the punchout for the latest price.
If a supplier's catalog in Wren has no products yet, the empty catalog suggests opening the punchout to bring in products from your supplier.
If the punchout does not open
If Wren cannot open the supplier's site, you see a page asking you to try again shortly, with a Back to Catalog button. Try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, contact Wren support. See Get help.
