What's new
New features and improvements in Wren, month by month.
October 2026
Wren Academy
Learn Wren hands-on at academy.wren.app, in a practice account where nothing you do is real. The guided tour now follows one order from start to finish: the cart, approval, the shipment and receiving, the invoice and the three-way match, payment and inventory. Lessons are grouped into courses you can search.
- The guide docks beside the page, so you can follow along while the app stays in full view.
- New lessons cover approving an order, checking an order against its papers and completing an order.
- The tour now runs over the real app rather than a copy of it, so what you learn matches what you see.
Price history that follows your choices
The price history window now shows the prices for the unit and the location you are looking at, and starts on the shortest period that has a price.
Auto-Ship scheduling
Pick the day of a saved cart's next order on a calendar, preview the next order days before you save a new frequency, and see every scheduled date on the day the order is actually created.
Order Now places one order
Order Now on a saved cart is turned off while your order is being placed, so a double click never orders the same cart twice.
One Company Settings page
Your practice profile and the settings that decide how your account behaves now live together on a single Company Settings page, with each option explained beside its switch.
News & Tips you can scroll
The News & Tips feed on the dashboard shows each tip in full, scrolls inside its card and brings in more tips as you reach the end.
A refreshed look
The top bar, sidebar and catalog share a new frosted-glass style, catalog cards are cleaner, and products without a photo show a tidy Wren placeholder. The catalog now opens in grid view and pages more smoothly.
Smoother sign-up and sign-in
- Sign-up is better protected against bots.
- Sign-up gives clear messages, offers to resend your verification email, and explains the check-your-email step.
- Sign-in, account selection and account setup fit smaller screens.
- You stay signed in while your session is active, even on a page you do not have access to.
Stronger security
Wren no longer keeps your password in the browser, and we have tightened how the app protects its connections and keys.
September 2026
Rooms and shelves
Account admins can now map where stock is kept, from each location down to rooms, cabinets, shelves and bins, under Account Settings, then Inventory. Each level shows how many lots it holds.
Supplier catalogs
Build shorter catalogs from a supplier's full catalog, such as the supplies for one room, and choose who can use each one: everyone, or only the people and locations you pick. Your team can then narrow the shop to one catalog.
- Copy a catalog, or make a linked fork that stays in step with the original.
- A new supplier directory under Company Settings lists every supplier of your account, with its status and active locations.
New sidebar
A new sidebar puts every section one click away, with menus for your account settings, your profile and help.
Clearer prices on orders
An order line with no quoted price now reads No live price instead of $0.00, including on the screen where you approve it.
Faster pages
The shipments list appears straight away when you return to it, saved carts open on a placeholder instead of an empty page, and messages about something that cannot be saved show right away.
A new cart design
The cart has a cleaner header and item rows, and images load in smoothly across the app.
August 2026
New sign-in and sign-up
Signing in, signing up and resetting your password have a new design, with a gently moving backdrop.
Honest stock and prices in the catalog
- A product the supplier reports as available now shows In Stock, even when the supplier gives no count.
- A pack the supplier has not priced shows no price rather than $0.00.
- The chip beside a price shows how fresh it is: green when the supplier quoted it within the last day, amber when it is older.
Notification settings save instantly
Switching a notification on or off now saves at once and stays the way you set it.
Custom products made easier
Search before you add a product for a supplier of your own: pick a match and the form fills in from its details.
July 2026
Catalog table by pack size
The catalog's table view lists one row per pack size, each with its own price, so you can compare a box and a case at a glance.
Live availability in the catalog
Stock and prices on catalog cards update while you browse, with a short highlight when a value changes. Products a supplier has discontinued are marked Discontinued.
