When an order is complete

How an order becomes Completed by itself once everything has arrived and every invoice is paid.

An order is complete when everything in it has arrived and every invoice for it is paid. There is no button to press: Wren marks the order Completed by itself, the moment the last of those is done.

The two things that finish an order

Every order has two kinds of open work, and the counters at the top of the order show both:

  • Open Shipments: boxes that are still on their way or have not been received yet.
  • Open Invoices: invoices that have not been marked paid yet.

When both reach zero, the order is done.

Finish an order

  1. Open the order and check its Open Shipments and Open Invoices counters.
  2. For each open shipment, receive what arrived. Receiving puts the items into inventory and counts them as arrived on the order. See Receive a delivery.
  3. For each open invoice, check it against what you ordered and what arrived. See Check an invoice.
  4. Once an invoice has been paid, open it and press Invoice Paid. See Mark an invoice paid.

When the last shipment is received and the last invoice is paid, the order reads Completed and the date appears as Date Completed at the top of the order.

An order with several suppliers

Each supplier ships and bills its own part of the order separately. The order completes only once every supplier's part is done: all of its shipments received and all of its invoices paid. Until then, Order Summary shows each supplier's items with their own status, so you can see which part is still open.

Find completed orders

  1. Open Orders in the sidebar.
  2. Press Completed to see only the orders that are finished.

The Orders completed rate counter at the top of the Orders page shows the share of your orders that have been completed.
